   Hello:

   Thank you for your site and all the information. I woke up this morning wondering why I couldn’t 100% support Obama or Clinton. Then I decided to google and see what people are saying about Obama. I did see something about the super delagates in the NY Sun the other day and the numbers are even higher now. I remember not knowing exactly what it was, but realizing he wasn’t going to win. This strangely enough made me want to research the death threats, secret service protection, his 2004 speech and every angle of attack against him. I do understand what others say about Obama not associating himself with the liberal progressive or black community. This also makes me think of the infamous mayor of Washington D.C., Oprah, and many other safe African Americans. When is the time to distinguish yourself as a leader, when will you ripple the system, when will you disrupt the norm. Forget about making white people safe, make black people feel safe to support and believe. Finally the only candidate that will move people of color forward is the one that can unite us all in common values and struggles. This leader will end class, race, sexuality, religion, and all other internal wars that are driven to keep us against each other. Well I will stop here, my original intention was to thank you for the information. Thank you.

   Hi,

   I love your blog and the topics you present! I was searching through your topics today and wondered if you had any opinion on the state of the Black ‘LGBT’ community and the negative onslaught from many religious, conservative and black community in general. I think that this topic is glossed over within our community and many of us are settled on either hating it or not caring to discuss it. No real dialog within the two communities exist.

   The issue of gayness in the black community is another tool to keep us separated or distracted from the real battles. I consider being gay i.e., the right to love whom you choose a Human Right and not a civil matter as some would make it.

   I think individuals like yourself command an audience and discussion. So I wanted to know your thoughts and those of other conscious black people.

   There is a movie coming out this Summer that I believe touches on the parallels of being black, gay, straight, and how all those worlds collide together for self-love and acceptance. I would love the self-hating DL, Homothug culture end in addition to the hate within the black community towards gay black folks.
